Can anyone suggest a 7-8 mile run from the ice bowl or nearby, with a few hills? Preferably trail but road is fine.

A speedy recovery to the resident grimace king of D&G Tri Club Ian Clark who unfortunately broke a bone in his foot a few days ago.

Get yourself stocked up with box sets, hog the remote control and try not to go too stir crazy in the next few weeks. Just remember though if you're looking for sympathy don't go running (sorry.... Hobbling) to the rest of the club members 😉

Evening all, we have received the following message and would like to share it for any members who are interested....

Hi there,

I hope this finds you well. I’m contacting you to tell you about Tetra-Decathlon (age 12+), which will be performed at the Theatre Royal, Dumfries on Friday 21st September at 7.30pm. This theatre show is about one woman’s real-life decision to train for a Tetra-Decathlon “ultra-multi event” with no prior background in sports and athletics. Following the production’s successful initial tour and well received performances at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, we would be love to invite Dumfries and Galloway Triathlon Club and hope that this story will be of interest to your members given the themes. We’d also be really grateful if you could help spread the word to your members through social media and any other means of communication.

Please find our video trailer here (https://vimeo.com/273654021), ticket information here (http://www.whatsonrenfrewshire.co.uk/event/063346-tetra-decathlon/) and more information about the show below:

Tetra-Decathlon By Lauren Hendry

Having never set foot on a running track in her life, Lauren Hendry decided to sign up for the Tetra-Decathlon, a gruelling 14-event track and field competition. This audacious solo show charts Lauren’s journey as she trains for and competes in this most taxing of sporting events, whilst asking pertinent questions about the psychology of sport and what drives us to compete.

“As thrilling as it is enjoyable… the production is a great tribute to the determination of the human spirit.” - Across The Arts

“A lovely, affecting piece… Hendry, in an energetic solo performance, leads us through the highs and lows of her training and competition.” – Fest Magazine

Directed by two-time Fringe First Winner Jenna Watt. Presented by Showroom in association with Macrobert Arts Centre. Supported by Festival 2018, the cultural programme of the Glasgow 2018 European Championships, Creative Scotland and Tron Theatre.

We would love to see some of your group in the audience and very much hope to see you there!

Best wishes,
Christine, Production Assistant
